Drill Bit for Construction of Stairs. Made in Germany

The FAMAG 1623 Forstner bit (BORMAX 2.0) is a long version for woodworking. It features grooved cutting edges, low heat development, and rapid drilling in various wood materials. Suitable for freehand and stationary use. Made in Germany.

Specially formed channel for removing chips, teflon-coated, changeable crest of thread HSS, two carbide tipped main cutting edges, protruding cutting edges and cylindrical shank with three clamping surfaces. Ground by diamond wheels on CNC-machines

The pilot-drill bit is ideal for drilling at an angle which is not 90° in workpieces surface, which occurs for example in the construction of staircase. Can be used with the centre point as traditional Bormax

Seven-edged countersink with pointed angle 90°, irregular pitch, with fully ground tool head for finest results.
1000 – 2500 rpm. e.g. Ø 16 mm 1800 rpm in soft wood. Further details in the speed diagram
