The Mechanical Secure-Grip Flange Spreader, specifically the SG6TM model, is a versatile tool designed to be used on various flange types. It is capable of spreading flanges apart and removing spacers, wafers, or butterfly valves. The tool is equipped with collet holders that have adjustable drive cones, allowing for easy adjustment and positioning.
The bolt-hole sizes suitable for this flange spreader range from 0.94″ (24mm) to 1.18″ (30mm). It offers a spreading force of up to 6.7 imperial tons (60 kN). However, it is recommended to use the tool in pairs for optimal performance, which increases the spreading force to 13.4 imperial tons (120 kN).
SG6TM Secure-Grip Flange Spreader
The set includes the SG6TM tool itself, a 6″ (150mm) Vernier caliper for precise measurements, a 3/8″ drive torque wrench with a 21mm socket for tightening purposes, a safety block for added security, two M24 (7/8″) collets, two M27 (1″) collets, an instruction manual for guidance, and a convenient carry case with protective foam inserts for storage and transportation.
