Jaws are manufactured from Elora Chrome Vanadium steel 31 CrV 3 / 1.2208, providing structural stability under load. A nickel-plated coating is applied to reduce surface oxidation and protect against environmental corrosion.

The tool incorporates a threaded adjustment screw for setting the clamping force to match the workpiece requirements. A quick-release lever with return spring enables repeated operation without manual resetting. Integrated into the jaw profile is a cutting section for processing wires of varying hardness, eliminating the need for a separate cutting tool.
