A Tradition of Innovation
The story of alkitronic® began in the early 1980s with Albert Kipfelsberger’s revolutionary invention: an electric torque multiplier with automatic shut-off. This was a breakthrough in bolting technology, aimed at solving the shortcomings of traditional hydraulic tools, including imprecision, slow operation, and maintenance challenges.
This innovation marked the first in a series of patented developments that have shaped the bolting industry. By offering faster, more accurate, and cleaner torque solutions, alkitronic® established itself early on as a technology-driven brand focused on advancing safety, repeatability, and operational efficiency.
Today, the company continues to pioneer new technologies—from brushless synchronous motors and ergonomic tool designs to smart apps that enhance documentation and traceability in bolting operations.

The alkitronic® EB-S – Award-Winning Design and Technology
The EB-S battery torque multiplier exemplifies alkitronic’s commitment to user-focused design and innovative performance. Featuring a brushless synchronous motor, anti-glare OLED display, and a one-finger trigger system, the EB-S delivers smooth operation with minimal wrist strain. A patented technology reduces radial force on the operator to just 1 Nm.
Available in seven models with torque ranges up to 6,000 Nm, the EB-S integrates seamlessly with documentation software and meets modern standards for efficiency, safety, and ergonomics.
Its recognition by both the Red Dot Award and iF DESIGN AWARD in 2023 underscores the company’s leading position in industrial tool design.
Quality and Standards
Since 1996, alkitronic® has operated under a certified quality management system in accordance with DIN EN ISO 9001:2015. Every tool and process is aligned with strict standards to guarantee durability, operational reliability, and precise torque output.
The commitment to consistent quality control has been instrumental in the company’s international success. Each product undergoes comprehensive testing using industry-proven methods to ensure compliance with global expectations for performance and safety.
The alki TECHNIK Center
Opened in 2005, the alki TECHNIK Center in Ingolstadt consolidates all core business activities: development, production, assembly, service, and administration. Covering an area of 3,800 m², the center reflects the company’s core values—power, efficiency, and environmental responsibility.
The facility utilizes a combination of geothermal heating, solar photovoltaic systems, and thermal activation to supply renewable energy. Designed in collaboration with architectural firm Bachschuster, the building is both functional and forward-looking, symbolizing alkitronic®’s dedication to sustainable engineering.
