Forstner bit with pilot guilded FAMAG 1624, Bormax 2.0 Prima
SKU: 1624The pilot-drill bit is ideal for drilling at an angle which is not 90° in workpieces surface, which occurs for example in the construction of staircase. Can be used with the centre point as traditional Bormax
Bormax 2.0 prima with exchangeable centre point and pre-drill bit. Two in reverse order staggered, grooved main cutting edges, a circumferencial cutting edge with longitudinal grooves – both effecting that a clear less feed force is necessary. Also they minimize the friction and the growth of heat.
Clean drilling at many angles into soft wood, European hard wood, and MDF panels. Very good alternative to the expensive drill bit for construction of stairs product line 1575. In combination with extension shanks product line 1639 perfectly suitable for drilling deep holes. For harder materials like solid wood or plastic coated boards we recommend our new product line 1664 from page 13
The Forstner bit with pilot guided FAMAG 1624 is a versatile drilling tool designed for clean and precise drilling in various materials. It features a number of innovative design elements that enhance its performance and make it an excellent choice for a wide range of applications.
Forstner bit with pilot guilded FAMAG 1624
The FAMAG 1624 Forstner bit is equipped with an exchangeable center point and pre-drill bit, allowing for easy customization and adaptability. This feature ensures accurate positioning and reduces the risk of wandering during drilling, especially in challenging materials.
The bit is designed with two main cutting edges that are staggered in reverse order. These grooved cutting edges, along with a circumferential cutting edge with longitudinal grooves, contribute to a smoother drilling process by reducing the feed force required. This results in less resistance, minimized friction, and reduced heat buildup, allowing for cleaner and more efficient drilling.
The FAMAG 1624 Forstner bit excels in drilling at various angles into softwood, European hardwood, and MDF panels. It provides a cost-effective alternative to expensive drill bits commonly used in the construction of staircases, particularly in product line 1575. Additionally, when combined with extension shanks from product line 1639, it becomes an ideal choice for drilling deep holes.
For harder materials such as solid wood or plastic-coated boards, FAMAG recommends their new product line 1664, which can be found on page 13. These specialized drill bits are specifically designed to handle the increased demands of drilling into tougher materials, providing optimal performance and longevity.
Forstner bit with pilot guided FAMAG 1624 offers exceptional drilling capabilities across a variety of materials. Its innovative design features, including the exchangeable center point, pre-drill bit, and grooved cutting edges, ensure clean and precise drilling while minimizing feed force, friction, and heat buildup. Whether you’re working with softwood, hardwood, or MDF panels, this Forstner bit is a reliable and cost-effective choice for your drilling needs.
