With the Round Dies VX and the Round Dies MS, we have two real specialists for the production of external threads in our product range.
The Round Die VX has been specially developed for use by hand as well as in machines. The Round Dies VX are made of HSSE and allow optimal chip removal as well as a significant increase in tool life. The lapped surface ensures a precise and easy cut, resulting in improved thread quality. The additional vaporization of the surface provides better adhesion of the coolant and lubricant, which reduces the risk of cold welds in the thread. The Round Die VX is suitable for various materials, including alloyed tough-hard materials, stainless steel, aluminum and ductile iron.

The Round Die MS can be perfectly used to make external threads in short-chipping materials such as brass or bronze. In contrast to conventional dies, the Round Die MS has a flatter rake angle and is also lapped. This ensures optimized chip removal and leads to a much better thread quality. The lapped surface enables a precise and easier cut, which leads to a significant improvement of the thread surface. The Round Dies MS are designed for both manual and machine use and delivers a long tool life. It is suitable for a wide range of materials, including brass, bronze and other short-chipping materials.
We have both Round Dies in metric dimensions up to M30, metric fine dimensions up to M24 and pipe threads up to 1 inch. In addition, we offer the VX series in a seven-piece set in a practical metal case (M3-12).
