The Precision and Craftsmanship Behind ELORA Spanners Leave a comment

To ensure that every customer receives a top-quality ELORA spanner, we follow a meticulously refined manufacturing process developed by highly skilled specialists over the years. Below is an overview of the key production steps.

One of the defining characteristics of ELORA spanners is their exceptional rigidity and resistance to bending. This is achieved through a carefully selected material composition, well-established manufacturing techniques, and strict quality control measures. As a result, ELORA spanners are built to withstand the demands of daily use.

The ergonomic design provides a secure grip, allowing for efficient and safe handling. In addition to its non-glare finish, the high-grade matt chrome plating offers long-lasting protection against corrosion. Every aspect of our spanners reflects the same commitment to quality.

Each ELORA spanner embodies the accumulated expertise, craftsmanship, and experience of multiple generations in tool manufacturing. This dedication to excellence ensures that users make a worthwhile investment in a tool that will perform reliably for years while maintaining its refined appearance.

Production Process:

  1. Blanking
The process begins with high-grade ELORA chrome vanadium steel (31 CrV3/1.2208). The raw blank is cut and shaped, already bearing its characteristic form at this stage.
  2. Hot Forging & Flash Removal
    a. The blank is heated in a furnace to the optimal forging temperature, then forged under high pressure.
    b. Excess material (flash) is removed using specialized presses.
  3. Hole Punching
A hole is punched at the ring-end of the spanner in the next step.
  4. Grinding & Vibro-Deburring
Grinding smooths the surface, while vibro-deburring removes any remaining sharp edges and excess material.
  5. Ring and Jaw Broaching
This step ensures the ring and jaw sections have precise dimensions.
  6. Profile Punching
Each spanner is marked with its unique identification, making it recognizable worldwide.
  7. Hardening and Tempering
This specialized heat treatment process enhances the spanner’s durability, ensuring maximum strength and optimal ductility.
  8. Sand Blasting & Head Polishing
The surface is sand-blasted for a matte, non-slip finish, and the jaw end is polished for smoothness.
  9. Chrome Plating
Finally, the spanner undergoes electroplating with nickel and chrome, giving it a high-quality finish with superior corrosion protection.

ELO-DRIVE Profile

ELORA’s ring spanners, open-jaw spanners, and double-ended ring spanners feature the ELO-DRIVE profile, designed for:

  • Efficient force transmission to the flats of fasteners without damaging their heads.
  • Secure, reliable operation for professional use.

ELORA spanners are crafted through a meticulous process ensuring durability, precision, and corrosion resistance. Using high-grade chrome vanadium steel, they undergo forging, heat treatment, grinding, and chrome plating. The ergonomic design provides a secure grip, while the ELO-DRIVE profile enhances torque transmission without damaging fasteners.
